London Welsh make three changes

Aviva Premiership Rugby Football Union club the London Welsh will be heading to play against the Exeter Chiefs as they look to secure an all important win so as to create a buffer between them and the drop zone, which they are perilously close to following last weekend’s narrow defeat at the hands of relegation threatened Sale Sharks.

And going into the match, Lyn Jones, the Director of Rugby of the club has made three changes for the trip, hoping to put an end to the slump that has seen them dragged into the relegation dog fight.

And two of those changes in the side have been made at the back with Tyson Keats and Seb Jewell coming into the side in place of Alex Davies and Sonny Parker respectively. While Davies will not be a part of the side for the trip, Parker is expected to make the bench for the match against The Chiefs. The third change comes in the form of Greg Bateman who will take the place of Paulica Ion at tight head. Moreover, Rob Lewis, Martin Purdy and Dan George have all been added to strengthen the bench of the side as they come face to face against the high flying Chiefs side.

The Exiles lost in a closely contested match against the Sale Sharks at home 25-26, and many people believed that it was a match that The Exiles could and should have won. I was one of the unlucky fans to have used up his Unibet bonus bet on the match, with Unibet somehow managing to tempt me to back the Exiles!?

Having already beaten the Exeter Chiefs 25-24 when the two sides met in September, The Exiles will hope for much of the same but with Sandy Park not being a happy hunting ground for the London club, having not won any of their last five matches at the venue, it is going to be extremely difficult.
